Has anyone else had issues the Fox Valley Hiawatha set? I bought mine back in March but my layout wasn't finished until August so I have only used the thing a couple of times. It requires almost 80% power to get it going in DC(MRC Tech 4 260) and it seems to hesistate on the layout. I have also noticed that one set of traction tires has wear marks and the other is completely untouched. I'm frustrated because this was an expensive set and it has never worked right from the start. I have tried to call and email Fox Valley and have gotten no where with them.

There are two or three guys at the club who have them, and they have had no issues with them. We do use DCC, and have a pretty broad minimum radius. What is your minimum radius?

That's not the issue its not "dragging" through curves it happens all over the layout. Besides that I'm using Kato Unitrack and none of their commonly used radii are that sharp. I have no issues running Super Chief, El Capitan, or California Zephyr through the same curves. I also have the Daylight set With the articulated cars still no curve issues.

We have 3 sets in the club, and noone has had any major issues. They DID seem to require a little more break-in time than most locos though. Our biggest issue was figuring out that the trucks on the cars could flip 180 degrees which results in the "generator" hitting on the coupler box .......usually resulting in derailments.
