I was quite impressed with Zephyr's ALCO 415 and GE U33B thread and decided this weekend to paint up one of my old GP7. I really like the outcome, however, it has its flaws too. As far as all the pictures I have looked at to reference this engine. It appears that Rock Islands locomotives didn't have a dianamic brake housing, thus resault I could only use the smaller block R instead of the big block R. Also I didn't quite get the paint right. I used 3parts of Polly scale GN Blue to 1part reefer white, with distilled water. It air brushed nicey, but i fear if I do another engine i might not be able to get the exact match(blue). I also put the Don't tread on me logo on the door of the cab. Again references appear that the don't tread on me logo was on the GP38's.

Aside from any discrepancies that you have pointed out, I think that it looks really good. Nice clean job and the next one should be even better.

Thanks all. I believe a weathering job will do it some justice. I will make a not of the badger modelflex. I want to paint up a couple more of these engines, but convincing my wife to let me is another story. She doesn't really mind but she would rather i start doing the scenery first :)
