I have built a dcc++ system with arduino after watching Cobo on youtube and he suggests 15 to 18 volts as the power for HO scale. Somebody else commented that it may burn out the decoder if more than 12volts??? I am in a quandry?? Can anybody confirm one or the other? many thanks, Steve.

Thank you tootnkumin. The boffins at GitHub say 18v 2 amps is perfectly safe so thanks for your input. Best wishes for the season from a 30plus degrees Fremantle.
Regards
Steve.

Steve - Can't answer your question because I use DC, but welcome to the forum. I see that you're from downunder just like Ray (tootnkumin). You can keep him company while we statesiders sleep! ;)

Hi Guys,
Thank you all for your replies. Is anybody using arduino controlled dcc++ in the forum? I have some queries regarding the use of motor shields?
Cheers
steve
