Did anyone ever get the parts list from MR for Freytag's foundry? I went there recently to get the list and it's no longer available!

About to start a scratchbuilding blitz! three bridges and a foundry/steelmill (Bessamer process)

Hi OCN Guy,

Toy Train Heaven says their still got them on the website:

http://www.toytrainheaven.com/.sc/ms/cat/HO Buildings--Plastruct

The foundary is the Steel Mill fake front, I believe. I hope they have two in stock because I haven't got one yet either.

Have you visited this group yet?

http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/STEEL/

They can help you with about anything you need when it comes to steel industry modelling. Check out the links. There is a fellow who has been doing conversion kits to transform the wlathers hotmetal car into the 200 ton version (four trucks type).

This fellow has retired except for steel modelling stuff:

http://www.peachcreekshops.com/

He can get you a model of a bessemer convertor.

I hope all that info might be of some use,

Regards, Paul B

edit: Peach Creek has the plastistruct kits too and they might be a little cheaper.

Thanks for the info. I already had Peach Tree shops bookmarked. However, they don't have the plastructs parts listed that Model Railroader had in the article.
The fake front is not Freytags foundry, which you can see here, which is most definitely a 3-d model of fairly large size. the beginning part is in Model Railroaders' April 2009 issue and completed in May 2009.
Unfortunately, MR decided to make the parts list an online bonus. Great, but at some point in the distant past, the link became inoperable (sometime before I decided to build it)... and the 'online extra' has become an 'offline extra'.
To make matters worse, I'll be making it in N scale, which means I'll have to do difficult math, like dividing by 2. or so.

TA-DA! Jim Hediger (yes, that Jim Hediger) answered my email to MR, and HERE'S THE LIST!!! (now everyone can add a Foundry to your layout.:D
