I will be using foam roadbed for the first time on my current layout, only because I have read it decreases track noise a little more than cork. Any truth to this before I go buy a few rolls, or any other pros and cons?

It does decrease track noise from my experience

Thank you! I'm currently weathering the track now. Getting the rails a rusty brown and then painting the base foam and ground cover while I wait for my backdrops to arrive.
