This is a unusual tank car. It started out as a insulated high pressure car. In 1990, the outer shell was removed, a manway was added along with a bottom outlet and 2 75 psi valves. The heating coils were left exposed on the car, which is very different from all tankers I've seen. It hauled 32,000+ gals of Ethylene Glycol for use as wing deicer. It was scraped in 2010.

Is there some advantage to building one massive car instead of using two cars? Excellent modeling by the way.

A question about the commodity. If the car hauled de-icing fluid, why did it need to be heated?
