Heather is still recovering from wounds suffered while saving her family’s bacon from an intruder last week.

Her eye remains swollen and her snout scratched, but the Tamworth pig bested a bobcat that hopped into her outdoor pen hoping to snack on a piglet or two.

Wow and it was a big cat too :D

Wow, guess you meant "saving their bacon" in the literal sense...

OK, all that sounds great, glad to hear somebody is preserving them...

Hey, wait a minute! What's he doing eating an endangered species?

Those pigs are nothing to mess with. I've been treed several times during search and rescue operations by mother wild pigs protecting her brood. One the size of Heather could easily kill or seriously injure you. Luckily, they don't like pepper spray so I never had to shoot one.

I thought Bob's post was hilarious so I copied it and posted it with "comments about the article" Wonder if they'll print it.

Cheers Willis

Wow there is two things you don't mess . A Mother protecting her young and a pig. I found out long ago that pigs are mean B###rds !!
