I received a Trueline FM C-Liner and after taking it out noticed on the one side there are no MU hoses is this normal or a defect from the factory or possibly falling off?
Are you asking about the front of the unit ot the rear? C-Liners generally never had MU cables in the front. As originally built, the rear had a set of three MU cables on the fireman's side of the locomotive. These connected up with the three MU cables on the B unit as FM built them to only run in sets with other C-Liners. A few railroads added a full set of MU cables to both sides of the rear of both A and B units so they could run with EMD or ALCO power but the configuration you describe on the rear of the unit is correct for an as-built C-Liner.
