That song will never be the same to me after watching the video.

From Wikipedia (Stayin' Alive):

Music video

The music video for the song is of a completely different concept to Saturday Night Fever. It depicts the group singing the song on an abandoned subway terminal set at MGM Studios, directly adjacent to the one where the boys were filming Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band at the time. This set featured buildings, a train station, and other elements.

The original three music videos for the movie Saturday Night Fever were shot on the soundstages, and edited at the facilities of, Video City, Inc., in North Miami, Florida. The European video for "Stayin' Alive" as mentioned above (with Barry sans his beard) was one of these original three. These original music videos were scrapped and re-shot in California after Barry grew his beard.

GAWD, they SUCKED. In fact, all disco SUCKED, but then again disco, roller derby and bell bottoms, in fact ALL of the 1970's, can be explained really simply: Mass quantities of cocaine. The only good thing about the 1970's was the railroad scene.

I was in high school back then and had put my trains on display mode. Though I don't care for the Bee Gees, I'm glad they showed up - for some reason they did get more girls and guys up onto the dance floor at our high school dances; and I loved to dance. Before the Bee Gees, the dances at my school were boring. Girls on one side of the gym dying for a guy to ask them to dance while the guys on the other side were too busy playing air guitar to a Led Zeppelin song, but not me, I got up there at the risk of getting my ass kicked, but it was worth it!

This song was WAY before my time but will say that it is an iconic song. Everyone has heard it many times and has danced to it (most not so great). Is it just me or do the two guys (not the lead singer) creap you out?

I see,But I take it You think Ted Nugent or Alice cooper are much better?

Yes those guys are Quite good, But disco is completely different.
Its alot easier to get a girl to come home with you with some disco Then Immigrant song. ;)

Soo true.

Most of the people I knew who listened to disco, never did in their homes or living rooms. At home they had their headphones on listening to stuff their parents didn't like, like Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, The Who, etc. And when their parents weren't home, they cranked the bass and pissed off the neighbours. Nowadays they take Salsa or Tango lessons.
I had some kick ass times in the 70's. In the early 70's, we went to the drive-in via walking along the train tracks at night to see Russ Meyer movies... oooh la la!
