Decoder Bachmann and Loco Mantua (compatibility)

Hello friends:

I wanted the following question. The Decoder Bachmann DCC (Art. 44915) of 8 pins, they can be used in the Mantua locomotives? (Art. 351602, 345003 and 389003, which are DCC ready). That is to say, these locomotives to steam bring of factory, a “zócalo” to receive to decoder DCC of 8 pins?

The other question, if they are DCC ready, is compatible with all articles, DCC, within the norms of the NMRA, therefore, I can control Mantua locomotives, with a Lokmaus of the Roco brand.

If the Mantua had 8 pins the Bachmann should be compatible. The DCC manufacturers have agreed upon a standard.

If I understand your question correctly, you'll need to get a conversion harness like the one at
http://www.dcctrain.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=1375 to go from the 8 pin Bachmann (Lenz) decoder to the 9 pin socket on the Mantua. You can't directly hook up an 8 pin adapter to a 9 pin socket.
