Installed a decoder into a P2K SD45, Programmed it for 5547, when I tried to run engine was a runaway. When i reprogrammed it for 5548 engine ran normal. Tried to reset decoder and same thing, Anyone with any idea's???

What command sysem do you have, what type of decoder, and why were you trying to program it for 5547? Is the engine number and you were using a four bit CV or what?

It kinda sounds like the last time that address 5548 was used the system was stopped with the throttle open on 5548. You could try dumping the slots on the command station. It's been a while since I've had to do that and haven't had a layout for about 8 months so I don't recall exactly how to do that but it is in the book for the command station.

I think that Les has properly diagnosed the problem. I don't use the Digitrax but check the Digitrax documentation on how to clear address 5748 and see if that fixes the problem.
