So has anyone ever scratch built one of these by chance?

I know Alco offered one but no idea what those go for and i knowoverland offered the DD35A (or ya can use atheans supposed dd40 as a start for a dd35a)

Ive been toying with the idea of trying to build one my self but im sure would take a boat load of work. Is the length of a dd35 the same as a dd35a?

I know there is an artical in railroad model craftsman in the november 94 issue on how to convert the athearn dd40 to a dd35A.

I dont have it though would anyone by chance have a cope of this i could get or even a photo copy of the article.

thanks Mike.

If ya got anything id love to see pics.

should be as easy as taking 2 shells, choppping them in half, and mounting the 2 rears together...

(if ya do, and dont know what to do with the 2 fronts... i might!!):D

yeah i know its basically 2 gp35 shells with out cabs, but thats what i need to know the length for if say the athearn dd40 frame would be dead on or at least very close im ready for a project.
