dcc to dc?

I have not done it but it sounds like you remove the DCC board out so it is not part of the circuit anymore and you do not need to worry about burning it up and the blanking plug just connects the connections to let it run on dc only

How about telling us:
- what engine you have and who made it
- whether it came with dcc pre-installed or not
- sound (or not)

A pic of the dcc decoder would help, too.

Many (not all) dcc equipped engines (from the factory) will run on DC also.
However, they won't run as "well" as they would on dcc.

Don't have any ,but saw an Allegheny that looks interesting and was just wondering. Think it was a Proto 2000?
 
If I’m not mistook the Proto locos have two “three legged pins” that insert where the decoder plugs in, could be in the box maybe?
