can some one tell me the difference? with one would have the sound in it. i plan on running it on my DC set up for now and plan on getting Dcc later. To change to dcc do i only need a dcc controller or do i have to replace the track to? bachmann ez track.
Dcc ready means you have to add a seperate decoder later but the plug and wires are ready for it.
Dcc on board means the decoder is already in it and ready to run on DCC or DC. Most Dcc decoders today are DC/DCC meaning you can run them on both. The decoder knows what power you are using. When you go Dcc it will also work.
You can use the same track but may need to add more feed wire.
Most sound engines will run on DC or DCC (except Blueline which is DC only) you will need an add on controler for DC to use all the sound functions in DC.
