This is the first time I have ever had this happen, I have a Atlas sw1500 switcher that runs great and a lifelike docside that runs great. Here's the problem-when they are both on the same track there is a voltage drop and they run in opposite directions. I cant figure this out.
Put the SW1500 on the track and set the reverse/forward button to forward and run it a lap. Take it off and put on the Docksider and repeat the process. It sounds like one had the motor set for reverse and the other had the motor set for forward when they were last removed from the tracks. You'll see a big voltage drop when you have two engines trying to go different directions on a DC track. There's no way to change this behavior either with both engines on the track. Just one more reason why DCC is well worth the money.
