Custom built cranes...

I'm in the works of gettin a whole lot of normal 'flatcar/crane' rolling stock.....Now I'm gonna have more than I could use,so I was wondering what it would take to custom build 'harbour cranes' using these 'flatcar/cranes' ? I know I would have to custom built some legs for them etc...
Any ideas or have you done something of the kind?! Pics welcomed.thanx.J
