Very recently CSX Announced the Clinchfield locomotive and I couldn't help but notice the yellow seemed off

Now In the very beginning people were complaining about how they never looked right and I payed no mind to it, I thought that CSX would hear the complaining and try in fix it with the coming locomotives but it seems not and now here we are. What are your thoughts?

Research into these older units are tough. Pictures are not accurate and if you had a unit to look at the colors would be sun faded. Unless there is a historical society with the proper info it's hard to have a perfect match. Paint today is different than paint decades ago.

It's understandable about the older pictures, but the company itself has restored fallen flag locomotives

This is straight from the CSX website https://www.csx.com/index.cfm/about...gacy-locomotives/c-o-8272/?mobileFormat=false

I'm not a big fan of those. What's the point of keeping the nose and front in CSX paint? This is what you see coming down the track when standing by the railroad. It looks off, way off. Proper way to do heritage schemes is to do it like the Norfolk Southern did, or Union Pacific:

This is properly done Heritage paint scheme, pictures taken in July this year in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

That's how it really should be, I didn't have a problem with the units because I thought the paint scheme would look better but it doesn't, almost nothing good came from those locomotives
