Crossing conundrum

I’m hoping someone can help me wrap my head around this.
Kato #20-300 and #20-301 15 degree crossings are listed as left and right.
Does tilting the crossing one way or 'tuther not make it left or right?
Is there something I’m missing with the joiners maybe?
Is 1500 hours on a Sunday too early for a glass of Fine Ruby Port?

I think that I read somewhere that the length of the LH versus RH legs were slightly different.

The crossings are asymmetrical, you'll have problems getting everything to fit if you put them in the wrong places.

Ah okay, I think I solved it.
The “main” track, that is the one being crossed has the extended ties like a switch or turnout in line with that track.
Had to magnify it to see it, thanx guys!
