Crossing Conundrum

I'm in the process of laying out track for the new Fuerst Matthes paper mill and find myself in need of a crossing to gain space.
I’m using HO code 83 track with Peco switches and currently have an Atlas 25 degree crossing in place seen in this photo.

The problem comes from short locos and trackmobiles losing power due to the large gaps.
Peco crossings are a little more pickup friendly and the degree is close enough to fit, however they don’t actually make one in code 83!
So I have a choice of code 100 which will require transition joiners and lowering the roadbed or code 75 which will require transition joiners and raising the roadbed.
I’m thinking the code 75 is a closer match to the 83 and a simple shim will level it out.

I’m just wondering if there’s another alternative to the Peco brand?
Thought about maybe going to fastracks or possibly looking into On30 brands but thought I’d check with you folks about other options.
And yes I’m probably making this more of an issue than it is. 😝

Okay here's a side note...
What's the difference between a left hand and a right hand crossing?
They list both but aren't they the same if you just turn them 45 degrees? 🤔

Think right and left really only pertains to the 12 1/2 degree crossing, but I have been wrong before…
