Seeing I'm doing the transition era

, I was looking for some colour pictures of CPR streamlined passenger cars when they still had the Tuscan strip over the windows. I'm trying to see the font as as far as I know they were lettered with Canadian Pacific and not CPRail as they were when the strip was CP Red.
Does anyone know where I might find any pictures and also a decal manufacturer? I have searched the web but so far I can only find the red stripped coaches

.
Thanks in advance
Jim
Your best bet would probably be something like Champ or even older Walthers decals. Since both compaines either aren't in business anymore, (Champ), or no longer makes decals for cars or locos, (Walthers), your best bet would probably be train shows or E-bay.
You are correct with the color scheme. The streamline cars had the tuscan strip with 'CANADIAN PACIFIC' Centered on the car.
I couldn't find any pictures but I have 3 sets of CDS dry transfers and 1 set of Champ decals if you are intrested. (both out of production)
If not you can also try BlackCat decals for them.

I have one picture but it's at such an angle that it's hard to see the Canadian Pacific. I'm wondering if they used the same decals as the heavyweights, size and font.
what colour are the decal sets you have - dilux gold or gold leaf and what would you want for them.

Jim
Here's a picture of the decals and the placement diagram the comes with them:
I used a scanner so the color stayed true. The roadname is imitation gold.
The Champ decals are pretty close but are waterslide while the CDS ones are dry transfers.
I'll take 11.00 for the four sets
Note that the stainless steel cars were acquired for the
Canadian in 1955 and this was really the only train that used these cars (although individual cars occasionally showed up in the consist of the
Dominion, CP's other transcontinental train at the time. (Especially during 1955 while the cars were being delivered but before the
Canadian was operating.
Other CP trains would have been using older heavyweight and smooth-side lightweight cars, all painted in the full tuscan scheme with black roofs. Some of the smoothside lightweight cars were repainted in a silver scheme to match the
Canadian stainless steel cars, but this happened some time later, and only some cars received this sort of treatment.
Black Cat Decals has a variety of different sets covering both various heavyweight and lightweight equipment in the tuscan paint, and the
Canadian cars in the original tuscan stripe. TMR Distributing is one good dealer of Black Cat Decals, and great to deal with.

Every old Walthers set I've ever come across has been completely uselessly inaccurate once you actually start comparing it to the prototype. Granted I've only ever really looked at less than half a dozen different Walthers sets, but that's not a good track record.
