As far as i know it is only for use with QSI sound equipped engines. Atlas. Broadway and Proto. It is for use on a DC layout to acess the sound without going DCC. It only sends a signal to the QSI Sound decoder in the engine.
If you have it hooked up to your track and DC controller you can still run your DC engines. Just don't press any buttons as it will reverse the current and throw your DC engine in reverse.
You can hook this up in line with the Broadway Limited control for blue line engines also
but it will still only access the QSI systems.
