Tonight was lots of fun-running trains, photographing, decorating the clubhouse for Christmas. Here are a few pics. The BN U30C is mine and the CNW belongs to a club member.

Overcast light(no flash).

The early morning/late evening sun was done with the flash mounted off camera and an amber filter placed over it.

For the moonlit shot, the image was converted to B&W then tinted blue, and darkened.

Loving that sunset shot! Who does that yellow & black livery belong to? It's very striking! I like your U30C as well, infact I was thinking of buying one myself but I have enough trains for now. They remind of pug dogs with that little shorty nose!

Also I took a crack at doing my own moonlight shot using the 2nd last image. I can't resist a chance to fire up Photoshop. :D I did the same thing you did, but a bit differently. I made three layers- the original image on the bottom, then a B&W version, then a blue saturated version. I darkened all three then played around with the opacity of the top layers until I got the desired result.

Do you have any other pics or a video or the layout?

Thanks Pete. No I do not have any other photos or video-just joined the club 2 weeks ago and do not have a video camera. You did a better job on the moonlight than I did. I converted to B&W in the camera. With my very old Photoshop Elements 2.0, you can get strange shades of gray and loss of details when converting to B&W. And my PS skills are not that good.
