Chineese Covered Hopper

Chinese railroads are (mostly) standard gauge so that shouldn't be an issue. It's hard to tell by looking at the pictures but the couplers appear to be standard Bachmann plastic knuckle couplers. Chinese railroads use exact copies of the standard AAR "Type E" coupler so I think they will work with American equipment. I'm not sure I'd want to part with the amount of money they are asking for a Chinese covered hopper but it should work on a normal American HO layout.
 
I agree it's a little too expensive. However, it would be pretty neat to see it in a line of US/Canadian cars. One of those WTF was that things.

I didn't know that the Chinese shared the same gauge. Thanks for all the input.
