I live in Michigan City,IN the CSSSB rr goes right through my town. Anyway they now have double decker commuter cars. Does anyone know if there is a HO scale version of these cars. I am not looking for factory made Southshore cars I am wanting to know if anyone knows if the Walthers or Kato commuter cars would work. I know that the Southshore cars are electric but is there any brand out there that would work with a little kitbashing to make these cars? Thanks!

Do you mean the METRA double deckers in the picture? You can get the car at http://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/wmr/wmr6262.htm and, with some kitbashing, make it into a push-pull control car.

Jim, that *IS* the cab car! Walther's Pullman commuter cars are nice, I own a few. They're pretty much what you're looking for.

Josh, I know that is the cab car. The question, as I understood it, was is there a doubler decker car out there (which there is) and I assumed he wanted to kitbash a cab car out of one of the models.

Con-Cor made doulbe decker cars a time back also had a cab car to if you fine them they can get pricy now that ppl collect them:cool::rolleyes: CNW demands the highest price to :D

My bad. I've only been to Chicago a couple of times, and I thought these were former CSSSB EMU's. But they're former ICG EMU's...

Hey,

Walthers makes a bi-level gallery car, that is almost identical, in regular, and cab car varieties. Problem is, they only come in Amtrak paint schemes, but if you are willing to do some work on them, they might work.
