I need a little help. What color do any of you use for the Chessie System red/orange stripe on the engines and cabooses?? I'm trying to match an old Athearn GP-35 shell that I'm wrecking and I can't find any Floquil paint that even comes close. Any help would be appreciated.

Testors used to make an orange paint in those small bottles. I always used that. I haven't painted a chessie in a while, so I'm not sure what to use now, as that orange is discontinued.

The old athearn chessie paint is way off anyway, I think you'll need to mix something to match it.

John,

Please forgive me, but as you can see, it was very early in the morning. I can't say I was firing on all 8 cylinders. No disrespect meant to any Chessie System fans.

That's the stuff. My local hobby shop can't get it any more. Maybe its just discontinued in the Great White North.
Most enamel paints cannot leave the US anymore. In fact, last I heard they're supposed to be banned by the EPA.
