with my eyes getting bad i have decided to undertake On30 as my new scale. i have a oriental models 2-4-4-2 little river that i was thinking about converting to On30. i thought that i might use backmans 2-8-0 On30 for the boiler, cab and tender, while leaving the running gear as is. i got the idea from backwoods miniatures use of adding a new cab, tanks and pilots to mantuas 2-6-6-2 tank model. i was not sure if the cab ann boiler would look to large for this purpose. any suggestions would be great, thanks WAYDE.
Welcome to the forum . Good luck with the on30 .!!!!!!
You might also look at using one of the Banta laser cut cabs. While he does not have one specifically for that purpose Bill might have a suggestion as to which one would work. These are really nice cabs with nearly scale thickness walls. Wayde I do not believe that the Little River boiler will look too large, if you change out the domes if anything it might look a bit on the small side.
