Taking the plunge again!
Good day. Years ago (like about 20) I purchased some material from a craft shop to make evergreen trees. It was something like pipe cleaner material, except it was more fluted, if you know what I mean. You would cut it apart at the narrowest, then cut that piece in half to make 2 trees, that could be used for distant scenery. Does anyone know what this material is called and whether it's still available? thanks!
 


I saw once where a guy took an old artifical X-mas tree and cut and shaped into pine trees on an outdoor layout.
Has anyone used any inside? Maybe by adding more detail to them?
 
I haven't seen any recent articles on using those kind of materials for tree making... the thread in the scenery on tree making has a lot of info about the modern methods... shouldn't be too hard to mix between the tutorial and the materials you've got!
