Almost all hand carved. Cheaper and easier to work with than molds.

Well it's not really model railroad related (could be but scale a little off for HO). I've been building a 1/80th scale Mississippi Riverboat kit by Occre.

Excellent for sure. I can envision a dockside situation with some track running down the middle of the dock in HO, not a problem.

I've taken more than a few photos in my time, but this one is one of my favorites. It shows everything in the photo was placed with my hands, or was scratch built, and is what I consider model railroading; No short cuts, nothing new (not weathered), nothing out of the time period.

Sad news to report today. Al Judy, a long time modeler and photographer in the On30 community, died of colon cancer a few days ago. He was diagnosed on July 22, just weeks a go. I don't know Al or his wife, I wish I had. I don't even know the pertinent ages. So, a BIG lesson to be learned here, have yearly rectal

exams and at worst the fecal sample envelope thing you see advertised. Do not wait. I'm too old now for these tests so I
'm just hoping. This is an Al Judy photo. Our philosophies a bit different, but our love of model railroading is not.

Fall has fell, here in Northern Arkansas. So most of us should be putting more time in our layouts and train projects. Post some pics here if wish. We still have folks visiting this sight.
