Building Roads

I remember some time ago, perhaps a year ago, someone on this forum posted an EXCELLENT thread on building realistic roads using gray foam core. Does anyone remember? I can't seem to find this thread by searching through the archives, and was hoping someone might know of a link or a reference where I can find this info?
