I've always spray painted track in the past but its too cold out. A flat dark brown. Its just a shelf switching layout so there's not much track.

Yea or nay?

Nay. Time consuming and the coat of paint brushed maybe be too heavy and hides the tie details and also missing coverage in certain areas like the sides of the rails if you aren't being careful.

Who has used a paint pen with success?
I've tried them, just didn't have much luck with them. Painting rails with a brush is bit time consuming, but you have better control over where the paint goes than a spray can will give you.
