What beauties! I dropped mine and broke the front engine mounting inside the boiler a couple of weeks prior to Christmas. I hope to have it back from BLI within a week or so. :(

Yes, it and my Paragon J1 2-10-4 and a Trix Mikado..all on the same shelf I grabbed onto when I tripped. Down they came. Only the Y suffered near-catastrophic damage. The Trix Mike needed a new power tether/auger connector between the tender and engine that doubles as the drawbar. I got it back today. The J1 only suffered a bent drawbar. I fixed it myself.

Was I stupid in getting myself into the situation where the engines tumbled out of the shelf? Oh yeah.

Nice looking engine and great sound but the smoke still looks like what came out of my Lionel Hudson in 1955. If they are going to do smoke, I wish they'd make it look like the real thing instead of a guy smoking a cigarette inside the boiler. :)

Crandell, I hope the damage your body was saved from compensates for the loco damage. It takes longer to get your body back from a hospital than an engine form BLI...well, at least most of the time. :D

Well whatever it was he was smoking it sure stinks. :D

Cheers

Just imagine one of our engines being able to imitate the the real thing.you wouldn't be able to get within a country mile of your housebound layout :D :D :D

I had the first run and loved it. I just had to decide East or West. I choose steam from the West. OOOHHH how I miss my Y6. It has the club record of 175 cars on our water line. 3 trips around with out derail, uncoupling, or help is what it takes to make it official. One of the members has old hobby town A/B units that pulled 166.

Those Bowser Challengers and Big Boys could out pull 2 BLI Y6b's. They don't wear out in 3 years either.......

Thank-you, but that listing is far out of my price range, I am looking for one for about $300. Please!!! If anyone has one they would sell or knows of someone who would please tell me!
