Anyoen know what size brass wire I should use to replicate an antenna wire on a cab roof and also to replicate brake lines on the trucks? And will most hobby shops sell it?

NYSW F45,

Here's what I've used.

Details Associates WR2503 1/2" .010 wire for the antennas.

Details Associates WR2505 1" .015 wire for the brake lines.

I also use Details Associates WR2509 2 1/2" .033 wire for the fuel tank overflow pipes.

Take a trip to you nearest Michaels or similar type craft store. Head for the bead section and look for wire rolls that crafters use for stringing beads. I got a roll of 24 yards of 30 gauge (.010 inches), 28 gauge (.013 inches), 26 gauge (.016 inches), and 20 gauge (.032 inches) for $5 a roll each, which is way less than you'd pay for model railroad wire. For $20, I figure I'm set for life for everything from antennas to grab irons. :)

Ditto on what Jim says .You can also head for an industrial supplier and buy bigger rolls of wire also .
