blue points switch machines?

Hello everone l have a question about the blue point switch machines. when wiring them how do you know which way the throw bar on the blue point should be when mounting machine??? Hope this is clear for everone.

If they're like the other type of machines you mount them in the middle position, if that's whet you mean?

l'm using n-scale fasttrack turnouts with a NEC DDC system. Do l really need to wire the turnouts with the blue points or can l use them to just throw the turnouts without the wiring?

How are you able to tell electrical what postion the switch should be in? lf contact 5 is connected 4 is that the off postion? Seening that this is a DPDT switch rated a 5 amps.
