I am wiring my layout this evening. It is basically a 5x9 oval with a modest yard and some sidings. I am going to be using Prodigy Express DCC.

I am going to use a bus wire supply power to my feeders. The question I have is can my bus wire just end with out using insulated joiners at the same location?
I saw a diagram that had an insulated joiner where the bus wire ended, and I dont understand why I just cant use the bus as a line basically, and supply power to the feeders.

The same diagram had a single bus wire running from the main bus into the yard to supply the yard with power, and that wire just ended. I would think I could do the same thing on my outer mainline loop.

Am I missing something?

Thanks for any help.

There's no need for insulated joiners at the end of the bus. Never heard of using that before.

Nor had I. Thanks abunch. I just need some reassurance.
