Hello I have a bachmann self propelled mow vehicle that i am kitbashing into a modern work truck. I was wondering if anybody has ever but a dcc decoder into one of these high railers and how to make it better performance on the track instead of stallin and jerking down the track so i was just wondering if anyone as put a decoder into would like to know if its possiable to do so so that i could move forward with this project of mine.

thanks for the help if any

I haven't looked at a decoder yet but a Z scale one is do-able. I did manage a working battery powered beacon.
As for stalling, I added as much weight as I could where I could then added wipers to for extra pickup and it still stalled.
Wound up using the parts for another project.
I do have an older Bachman truck chassis that I mated to a Herpa body, runs not bad at higher speeds.

thats a nice looking truck you made there id like to do something simaler to that but havent decided on what to do yet been debating on if i should make it into a tie and rail truck with a hiab crane on back or if i should try to make it into some smaller version on the brandt work truck so i dunno ideas are still up in the air but very nice job on what you did.

Speaking of Brandt trucks, forgot to mention this has a #48 coupler and can pull three cars. In fact I have one "supertuned" flatcar that helps to push the truck over dead spots.
I like the hiab idea, I might do up another one too.
