We have a Bachmann reversing streetcar set, it's On30 scale. It's powered by either four AA batteries or a USB adapter. The batteries make it run well for a while but wear out quickly. The USB adapter is only 5 volts so the headlights are dim and the trolley runs slow. Can I use a traditional model railroad power source to run this? It uses Bachmann E-Z track, with reversing sections at each end. Any suggestions welcomed. Thank you.
Short answer is yes. The batteries provide 6 volts, so you may have to experiment a bit with the power pack to get the right setting.
Thank you, I'll give it a try.
