Hey guys,

How well do these things operate, anyone have a late factory run of one? I saw them on http://blwnscale.com/Bachmann 0-6-0 Switcher.htm

They say they're all new releases with better mechanisms... I know they have a short wheelbase, so would tend to not perform as well as say, my Kato 2-8-2, but was curious if they ran "decent". I bought the regular Bachmann MDT Plymouth switcher and... well, it runs - at anything above 60mph!

Thanks!
Kyle

Kyle, the only thing that was improved was a better motor and a clear display box. It's also a 2-8-0 modified to look like an 0-6-0, which is why it has those big overhangs on the front and rear. Short wheelbase locomotives always have problems with N scale switches. The only way I know to improve that is with tender truck power pickup. This engine may run fine, for all I know, but it sure doesn't look very good to me.
