Hi , I'm looking to set the lights to stay on all the time and was wondering what CV I need to change?
It's a new Bachman engine that has the decoder already in the engine. Can you help? Thanks Neal
I'm not sure what you mean when you say you want the lights to stay on all the time. If you mean you want the lights to come as soon as the locomotive is powered up, the Bachmann decoder won't do that. You'll have to press F10 (or F0 on some systems) to turn the headlights on and off. Once they are on, they should stay lit in the proper direction. The is kind of a feature with Bachmann DCC equipped locomotives because of the way the E-Z Command System works. There's no consisting, only assigning each locomotive in the consist the same number. If the lights came on on power up, all the engines in the consist would be lighted since turning off one turns them all off or vice versa. If you have two Bachmann DCC engines in the consist, you place the lead unit on the track first and turn on the headlights. The trailing locomotive is then dark because the lights won't come on until you hit F10. Maybe someone else has another method but it's the only one I know of.
