Atlas HO Scale Alco S3 - Getting in to it!

Hello

Does anyone know how to get the body off a Atlas HO scale Alco S3 please? Specifically this is the Southern Pacific 1025 version. Have removed the central screw in the underside and taken the couplings off but nothing will shift.

I have looked at the service sheet at https://download.atlasrr.com/PartsPDF/HOScale/HOS1S3Locomotive.pdf but that has so far not given me any pointers.

Anyone able to help please?

The central screw holds the motor in place, not the body.
To remove the cab and hood, you'll need to use a thin flathead screwdriver, insert it at the slot at the bottom of the cab, and pry (sort of) up and away from the sill assembly. You'll also need to remove the handrails that hold the cab to the sill.
There should be a clip at the front of the hood that holds it in place, your screwdriver will help there, as well.
