Wanting to SLOW DOWN the chuff speed a little. What CVs would I have to change in order to do that ?

Thanks in advance, Warren

Before we get into that, we'd have to know a few things:

First, which model, which decoder?

Secondly, if the decoder intends for the chuff to be out of synch, which would happen often on any simple steam articulated engine, the chuff on decoders can't speed up and make it sound like the real thing. They just can't. So the higher speed, out-of-synch, chuff will sound terrible.

Are your driver sets in synch, or are the side-rods out of synch? It matters, at least on the prototype.

Is your decoder set for articulated chuff or not? That matters as well.
