This was on the HOI list a few days ago:

"Shane Lambert, had a box of train goods stolen from his truck yesterday. While it is unlikely that they will be recovered or the thief identified, it's worth putting the list out there in case one of you comes across someone selling it. Strangely, the most identifiable items are a trio of the HOI custom-run Accurail "Three Notch Feed" cars, of which only 50 were made. All three boxes are hand-lettered and individually-numbered. Shane's three cars are #8/50, #20/50, and #21/50. If you see someone offering those particular cars for sale, they are from his stolen container and you should let him know at: aclin1948@...

Digitrax PR3
Digitrax PS14 Power Supply
Proto 2000 N&W Y3 # 2016
Spectrum N&W J Class # 612

Bachmann Thomas, Annie, and Clarabelle"

The theft occurred in Minnesota.

It stands for HO Interchange. It is a Yahoo Group model train sales site

Okay, now that the auctions are over, these probably-stolen items can be posted. If you know anyone who lost these, don't contact the seller - send me a message and I'll put you in touch the detectives handling the case. The more the police have on this guy, the harder they'll try to get him.

One of the items for sale is 100% confirmed stolen, and the seller has a multi-page rap sheet. Cops say he's been banned from Craiglist, at least as banned as they can make him based on name, email and IP.
