An odd question

Does anyone know of any shorter, commuter-style passenger coaches that are currenly being modeled and sold in the U.S.? I'm looking for HO scale, maybe something similar to the Talgo cars.

I'm looking to model some commuter trains (Not an actual line), and am finding that I am unhappy with the regular-length Amtrak coaches that I currently use for other trains.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I'm gonna guess the Athearn Bombardier cars are too long then?

The Walthers Horizon commuter cars are 85'. the Pullman Bi-level commuters, somewheres around 80'. The Athearn Bombardier, I think, are 85'.

E-R models is a limited run thing, though you might find them from a European manufacturer, as they seem to get special runs of stuff done for them.

Roundhouse used to make Harriman 60/70 footers would work ok on smaller radius curves, and Walther's has some by Model Power

Not the greatest looking but could be dressed up a bit for a more realistic appearance.

Offhand, the only shorties that I know of that can be used as reasonable commuter cars are perhaps Athearn's 73' lightweight passenger coach cars.
