I wasn't aware until Sunday afternoon that Amtrak had this unit. I caught it on the 20 (The Crescent) as it rolled thru Irondale on the bypass track. Might be premature but Thanks to all our Veterans for their service.

Nice looking unit. Anything with "stars & bars" looks great, esp on a locomotive...

Sunday, 10 November, is the Marine Corps Birthday, Monday, 11 November is Veterans Day, (US) and Remembrance Day (Canada). That is a cool looking unit. Good catch Carey.

Have been on P42, #42 numerous times. It strikes me that there is something unique about it vs. other P42s, but I can not remember what that feature was.
