Amtrak Traction Tire

I have a Life-Like EMD F40PH number 229 that I am converting to a NCPU.
The only problem I really have is that the Donor Loco is missing the traction tires for all four wheels on the rear truck. Is there any drop in axles I can replace the rear 2 axles with? I wanted to replace them with metal ones if possible.

I know there the bullfrog snout to replace the tires but I really don't need traction on a non=power unit

Why not find a Life Like GP38 or GP 40, or even another F40, and rob the idler truck from under it? Those engines are a dime a dozen, many people may even just give one to you for the asking.

my friend told me that you can replace old life like proto 2000 axles with athearn axles.
