ADMX pressuraide...some info needed!

Hey,

I just picked up a (new???) car from Atlas...A ADMX centerflow pressuraide hopper. On the side it says "new8-85"...when did these cars (pressuraide type) make their appearance and does anyone have any good pictures of some interesting weatehred ones? Just trying to decide if my impulse buy is going to be prototypical to 80's eastern pre-CSX railroading...Thanks guys!

That's not a pressureaide, at least not right now. Pressureaide cars have piping mounted to the hoppers while the car you link to has gravity outlets.

Pressureaide cars arrived sometime around 1979, but the particular car you have might be dated by its paint scheme more than anything else. ADM's logo has varied over the years.
