I read somewhere the I can wire a sound decoder and use the engines dcc address for sound. I have some small computer speakers I can use. Has anyone tried this? I have a Proto HO scale SW1 that I would like to have sound for. I am building a small switching layout and I think this would be a good way to get sound for the engine.
Hmmm...
I don't see why it wouldn't work other than maybe getting the proper voltage to the speakers?
Maybe check this site out: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LayoutSound/
Actually I was thinking of doing the same thing for my papermill as I'll never get a sound decoder into my wee Grant Line 25 tonner!
