A few new In-ko-pah Railroad pics

ModelRailroadForums.com is a free Model Railroad Discussion Forum and photo gallery. We cover all scales and sizes of model railroads. Online since 2002, it's one of the oldest and largest model railroad forums on the web. Whether you're a master model railroader or just getting started, you'll find something of interest here.

I was running a train recently and decided to shoot a few new photos...

My layout is 1/24th scale.

"G" scale is... complicated. Technically, G scale means 1/22.5 scale, but it's become kind of a generic term referring to several common scales that operate on 45mm gauge track. A lot of narrow gauge locos and rolling stock these days are 1/20.3 scale, which scales out to exactly 3-foot gauge. Then there's a lot of 1/29th scale standard gauge stuff, although the correct scale to represent standard gauge on 45mm track is 1/32 scale.

Those are the most popular scales in "G" these days. I prefer 1/24th because it's easier to work with, there are lots of detail parts and vehicles available, and the buildings would take up a lot more space if they were 1/20.3 scale. I'm modeling a fictional narrow gauge line, and I'm not hung up on having 3-foot gauge, so 42" gauge is fine with me.
