You probably saw these in the RPO thread, but I put them together last week.

They are not super-detailed so assembly was quick.

The first is an Accurail kit of a 40′ box car. Seaboard #23164.

The second kit is an Athearn kit for 50′ double door box car #9148. Unfortunately this kit came with three left doors and one right so only one side is finished. I’m trying to get another door so I can complete it.

As usual I painted the trucks, replaced the wheels with metal ones (also painted) and installed Kadee couplers. At some point I'll go back and weather them.

They both look sharp! Nicely done! Strange to have them doors mixed up? Accurail are nice kits. I have about 50 of them mostly 40 footer all UP different numbers. I pull them with my steamers. Some of them I had weathered and they look great others I left "new" looking because of the different logos and schemes UP had. I just like them that way. Anyhow nice job!
