2x8 switching/shelf layout- need some ideas

easing back into it.
i'm easing my way back into the hobby after 10 years of doing other stuff. i don't have much room, so am curently building my fleet of rolling stock, and running it at a local club. i would like to build some sort of small layout for a place to store it if nothing else. i've got a space 2 feet deep by 8 feet long. i model in HO, the Chicago Rock Island & Pacific during steams last hurrah in the summer of '52. i'm planning on the future layout to be set in farm country either Illinois or Iowa, so lots of grain elevators and stock yards. any suggestions for existing track plans? if anyone here wante to submit one i'd love to see it as well.

Kevin....there are lots of sites on the web full of trackplans etc.
As I'm a big fan of smaller layouts and shelf layouts I know were you're comeing from.

Gene, that IS a nice layout. Looks very similar to the Timesaver, but with more room. Not only would it make a very nice starter layout, but could be easily installed into a larger layout.
