Hi all! Took a break last night from the layout construction to repaint a new shay I got on the roster" Wanted to get this closer to the West Side shays of the past. Next step might be painting the front white, but that might be a bit trickier. Did a dry brushing method for the dirt effects...

Shay #1 an ancient wood burning locomotive is still at work on the 1929 C&S RR in Eastern Tennessee. Here it is seen spotting a hopper at Smythe Coal Co..
